Welcome
Hutches - Summer set up
Welcome to the Burrow. I breed and raise Lionhead and Mini Lop bunnies and am based in the village of Wombourne near Wolverhampton, West Midlands. I have kept rabbits as pets since I was younger and have now decided to breed. I have chosen two of my favourite rabbit breeds the Lionhead and Mini Lop small breeds with lots of character. I am only breeding a few litters a year as my rabbits are pets and I do not keep them just for the purpose of breeding.
I currently have 5 rabbits, 3 bucks(two lionheads and a mini lop) and 2 does (one lionhead and one mini lop).. My rabbits are pets too so are kept in hutches in the garden and have access to their run daily and are played with every night.I breed rabbits as a hobby only breeding a few litters a year and no profit is made from the sale of my bunnies with the money going back into the up keep and health of my rabbits.
I will only sell my rabbits to those who are fully aware of the responsibility of keeping rabbits and are prepared to give them a lifetime of love and care. They must go to a good home.
Have a look around and you will Meet The Lionheads and Meet The Mini Lops .See Photos of The Bunnies Available for Sale in the Nest , and previous litters, view my Terms of Sale and my Bunny Gallery , read Advice on Keeping Rabbits and Rabbit Behaviour and find My Contact Details and information About Me.You can also find details of The Handmade Bunny a site dedicate to bunnies, selling handmade bunny gifts and making donations to the Rabbit Welfare Association.

Rabbits can live up 10 years of age so please think carefully before homing as they require a fair amount of your time and money.
Lionhead or Mini Lop?
Leo as a baby with his beautiful mane
Lionhead
Lionheads have a fluffy mane around their head and neck and sometimes on their hind a double maned Lionhead. They require grooming. They are a small breed and weigh about 3 1/2 pounds. They have pointy sticky up ears. They are very energetic and are very playfull with lots of personality.
Roxy posing
Mini Lop
The Mini Lop has no mane but floppy ears. The Mini Lops are slightly smaller than the Lionheads. They are very laid back and love being cuddled and held. They are excellent for younger children.
Buck or Doe?
Bucks (male)
The bucks are very friendly and quite lively and boisterous. They are more confident and less shy with people. It is best to have the bucks neutered to clam them down a little. If you looking for a bunny with more personality but a little more lively a buck is great .
Does (female)
Generally I find the does love being handled by one person and can become very attached. Some does can be shy with strangers they have never met. They are more gentle than bucks but can be very loving once they fully trust you. Does can become a little moody past the age of 6 months. It is best to have your doe spayed to stop this, and there is a high chance or her developing cancer if she is not spayed or being bred.
Rabbits and Guinea Pigs?
Please never keep rabbits and guinea pigs together. Despite what some pet shops may say , rabbits and guinea pigs are not at all a good match and guinea pigs can often be harmed by a rabbit unintentionally and are not suitable together.
